The Maremma Park was one of the first protected areas in Italy, which extends along the southern coast of Principina and Talamone behind the Uccellina mountains.
Today the Grosseto area has been enriched by a local environmental system that includes 13 natural reserves, 8 of those integrated with the WWF oasis for a total of almost 40,000 offering a complex vision of richness and detail of the natural heritage of the Maremma, in its diversity between the coast and inland, wetlands and mountain ridges.
The number of natural reserves and areas extend from north to south and visiting them, thanks to the numerous marked trails, the visitor understands the magnitude of intervention designed to safeguard the wealth, differentiation, beautiful botanical, zoological and geological present.
